Dear Nikita,

No news from you for a long time. Let me tell you about 'Cleanliness Week' at your village. Because of unhygienic conditions of our Wadgaon village, Gram panchayat samiti of Wadgaon village, announced ' Cleanliness Week'. And made it a great success. 16th September, 2021 to 22nd September, 2021 was the period of the cleanliness campaign.

Entire village celebrated the 'Cleanliness Week'. Our school also participated. All our students worked wholeheartedly. 

We cleaned the village with great enthusiasm. Before that, our village was littered with garbage, dust and dirt. Germs and bacteria flourished and villagers were suffering from skin diseases and infection diseases. But now, it is clean and healthy atmosphere everywhere.

The villagers now understood that cleanliness implies personal hygiene as well as the cleanliness of the environment. We explained to them that they should always use the dustbins provided by the panchayat and throw the garbage only in the dumping grounds reserved for the purpose.

Villagers were advised to always use their toilets everyday and not to little the roads and paces with dirt. They were warn not to split on the roads and walls. The panchayat promised to punish those who make public places dirty.

On the last day of the 'cleanliness Week' the villagers pledged to plant more trees to keep the surrounding pleasant, clean and fresh. The campaign was the great success. the villagers of wadgaon  now understood that cleanliness is certainly next to godliness.
